Middle Grade Privateers! The blog dedicated to
all things Middle Grade, and more widely all things that make a great story. And
so Middle Grade Privateers will be all about exploring the Middle Grade, up-and
coming authors and trying to really get to the heart of it.
There’s a reason I decided to write MG, and there are
reasons why so many others are choosing to do as well. From here, I’d like to
explore and learn about those reasons. Because, in the words of Philip Pullman,
one of the most celebrated MG writers of all time…
"There are some themes, some subjects, too large for
adult fiction; they can only be dealt with adequately in a children's book."
